Harper’s Ferry, WV reminds me of a Swiss/French Alps town. It’s surrounded by mountains and has a river running through it. It’s all small shops, and everything about it is quaint. The fact that it was a prized town during the Civil War makes for some interesting historical sights as well. Though it is geared mostly for tourists (it is a national park after all), there’s a nice charm about it and enough locals flavor present to let you get lost in the nostalgia of it all.
